Basic Pickling: A Simple Interactive “How To” Workshop.

February 19, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

One of the best things about summer is the abundance of fresh produce. One way to enjoy summer veggies is to pickle them and add them salads, sandwiches, pasta, and just about any other summer recipe.
Beans, cucumbers, eggplant, chillies – anything that you can fit into a jar! Also Cauliflower, beetroots, onions, cucumbers, celery, carrots, and zucchini are all great options for pickling.
Pickling is also a great way to extend the life of your favorite summer vegetables to enjoy all year long.

Bring along your own fresh produce and sterilised jars with lids. We will provide organic basics like vinegar, salt and sugar.
Most herbs are available on site.

Gold Coin Donation for Members or
$5 for Non-Members

(this will cover the costs of the basics for pickling)
Please RSVP to: info@rosebaycommunitygarden.org
so we can ensure the basic supplies are sufficient.
